It’d been 89 years since the Alyssians first arrived on Earth. They’d been watching us, studying us… learning from us, for decades. Now, they wanted to help us. Humanity was skeptical at first. A fleet of hundreds of starships, looming in the great unknown, staring at us. But we gave them a chance. In 2020, they reached out for us, and we invited them in. We allowed them to use the moon as a makeshift home… a shelter, and sent envoys from every country to meet them. And then it happened.
We saw the technology they possessed, things that we had only seen in sci-fi movies. FTL travel, drone-based construction technology. Advanced medical nano-technology. Matter manipulation. These beings had seemingly mastered the art of the elements themselves, able to turn something as simple as water droplets in the air, into a full block of protein ready to eat. The Alyssians were soon offered a spot on Earth. World hunger was eliminated. Famine and disease was a thing of the past. Truths about our past and creation were revealed. Colonization efforts were started by this new alliance between the Alyssians and humanity.
Some humans, however, were adamantly against the Alyssians, staging protests against allowing the aliens to become a part of our society. Civil unrest grew as people warred with one another. Countries struggled to balance the advancements and the conflicts, and uphold order within their borders. And so, they turned to the United Nations. The answer? The birth of the United Federation. In 2032, nearly every country in the world signed the Unification Accords, which would unite them into a federation. Every country would become a province, run by it’s governor, and would maintain control over itself. However, all laws were unified to that of the Federation. To aid with enforcing this law, the Federal Police Service was formed out of a combination of the UN’s peacekeepers, the United States Army, and the various armies of the world. While the Earth began to find it’s new way, the other planets were being terraformed. Planets like Mars, Venus, and even gas planets like Saturn underwent massive terraforming efforts. Breathable atmospheres, solid ground fertile for plant life, and fauna, all spread across the system. And although most of humanity recognized this as a trophy for the merging of humanity and Alyssians, many still opposed their presence. Alyssian-Human couples were becoming more and more frequent, and despite the extensive difference in origin, these relationships were producing children with no abnormalities, due to the Alyssians extremely adaptive genetics. Enraged at the potential ‘contamination’ of the human blood-line, the opponents to the Alyssians organized. The majority of them, terraformers working on Jupiter, established themselves as NANHI, Nation Against Non-Human Interaction. NANHI, having built construction and weapons depots on Jupiter, soon struck out against the Federation, waging war. Over the course of a week, hundreds of thousands of supporters were flown to Jupiter, while NANHI put the planet's entire production into weapons and ships, hoping to build up an army to ensure their independence from the Federation. Although the Federation had initially offered peace, and guaranteed NANHI’s independence provided they remained on Jupiter, a number of terrorist attacks carried out on Federation territory has pushed them towards declaring war.
Now, in 2109, it has been discovered that NANHI is attempting to expand and has developed a capital ship manufacturing depot on Io. Responding to this is the United Federation Navy, who is charged with deploying troops with the UF Marine Corps to repel the NANHI troops and secure Io. 2109
And that, is where our story begins....

Electric City is a unique story, blending several fan stories and characters into one. One example is the inclusion of aspects from the known Sonic the Hedgehog fanfiction, 'Immortality Protocol Cy-Fox', by William Wagner, with the inclusion of various characters and references such as Miles "Tails" Prower, The Robotnik family, the planet of Mobius (as Keplar), and other elements from the story. Most of the characters of Electric City are actual fan-made characters and fursonas, many of which are influenced through adventures and roleplays in Second Life, or submitted from friends of the writers. Alyxz Marenwolf, one of the main characters of EC, is actually one the top influences of the story, and is the lead artist for the series' artwork.
Much of Electric City was written years ago, posted on sites such as DeviantArt, and was not properly edited during it's first posts. Crow and James have 1recently began re-editing the story, correcting plot holes and grammatical errors, and has begun to release different sections of it, continuing the story, in the hopes to provide a finished work. With 'Immortality Protocol Cy-Fox' writer William Wagner as reference, the series' completion is underway, and chapters will be uploaded.
